On 18 December, 2018 Kim Jonghyun, member of Korean boy band SHINee, was found dead in his apartment and the reason of this painful death was determined to asphyxiation. He committed suicide due to severe depression.

Shawol - SHINee’s fan community around the world were unable to handle this shocking news and experienced signs of mental breakdown. As a result, several news sites have addressed that 8 fans worldwide have committed suicide after Jonghyun‘s death. These news, however, possess various evidence to be false news.
